Do you believe in guardian angels?

Do you believe in guardian angels?

I believe you do having someone watching over you. They can intervene to ensure you are walking the path God has set for you. That little voice deep inside telling you what is right.

What do you think?

I agree with you.  I do believe that I have a guardian angel watching over me.  I remember when my daughter was little, she would always tell me and my husband that there was a man watching us and he was in the back corner of our yard outside.  She wasn't scared at all, she just said he was watching us.  Every time I looked outside to look at him, I never saw him but she was so certain that he was there.  I believe that it was my dad watching us and keep an eye out for us to make sure we were safe.  After we moved here to our new house, she never said anything more about him.   I honestly think he was there keeping an eye out for us.  He loved us so much.

Yes. I believe, too, that someone is watching over me. I was hit by a motorcycle once. Obviously, I saw see this fast motorcycle approaching and all I could remember was the blinding light and I’m lying on the ground. But what I have is just a little swell in the head and a scratch at my elbow. But come to think of it, I believed I stopped on time and the motorcycle instead of hitting my body just hit my groceries and the impact of hit is what throws me away. And by the way, I was in the middle of the highway when I’m lying on the ground but no car run over me. I’m lucky that the traffic light is red and there are no other approaching vehicles. Surely, some other forces had saved me.

Yes I do believe that everyone, no matter what their beliefs has a guardian angel. I believe that usually, we have all been with our guardian angel for many lifetimes before and they know us completely. I do not believe that a persons guardian angel can be a member of their family that has passed on, as angels are with us all the time. Angels are also not human although they can, if they choose to, take on a human form to appear. Some people might have had contact with angels and not known they have been blessed with that experience.

I have said the above to people before and a few have got upset when I said "your mum cannot be your guardian angel", this is true, but if their mum passed, in some cases she could be a guide to the loved one still on earth. Although, we do all have guides with us throughout our lives on earth as and when we need them, some stay with us, some come for a short time when we need them. Angels come in many forms and they are many types of angel. Guardian angels are the ones that are the closest to earth and whom are here constantly as they are always with you. There are angels for everything from the smallest animal, plant to the planets and the stars, right the way to God.

I have to say that I don't believe in guardian angels. The idea of it creeps me out a bit too. I don't like the idea of being followed. My Dad passed away a few years ago and the idea that he follows me around really bothers me. Am I the only one who feels this way?

I also believe in guardian angels and God who watch us. I also have experiences specially when I was younger that I was saved from  dangers.  Guardians can give you feeling of being secured even on odd places.

Guardian angels in my beliefs are with each of us all the time, this is nothing to feel creepy about. They protect and guide you and have been with you before this life and in many before. They never scare you or want to freak you out. They also do not just follow you around all the time, you have the room to be, to live your life with the comforting knowledge that they are there if needed.

In regards to your dad passing away and the idea you think he is following you, and this bothers you, do not let it. When someone passes away they carry on living in another form of life. They do not want or have the time to follow us around all day, they have their own things going on. Yes, they can look in on you from time to time, but most people that pass away and cross over do not just hang around you all the time following your every move. As much as they love you it would not be very interesting for them, just like it would not be for you in the same situation.

Sorry, this idea just creeps me out. I just don't like this idea. Guardian angels don't fall into my belief system. I'm not saying that they don't absolutely don't exist.

I am an atheist, and I believe in guardian angels. I never seen one myself, but I always feel as if someone is watching me. I was scared at first not knowing who was watching me. I thought I had someone stalking me. Until one night I was inside with all the windows and doors shut and my hair moved, but no wind. Then it felt as if someone was playing with my hair. When I touched my hair I couldn't feel anything. So I believe it is/was my Grandma watching over me. I believe that because when I was younger, and when she was still alive I would always play with her hair. I believe it was a sign from her to me. I believe she didn't want me to be scared anymore. I just thought I would share my story.

Melissa, did this happen soon after her death? Many years after? I believe that my Dad visited me after a month after he die. I believe he wanted to tell me that everything was okay. I have no problem with that. It's the following me around that bothers me. I suppose it shouldn't, but it does.

I believe that there are angels watching over us.  And I believe that there are times when there can be experiences with them.  When you think about it, Jesus' own parents experienced angels, so what is there not to believe?!  I have had my own experiences in my dreams and just through things that seem too much to be other worldly rather than accidents.  It is comforting to think that we all have God watching over us, but also His whole team of angels, too!

Totally agree with you race chick.

The world being a sit is with guides and angels and fairies etc, not sure about fairies, makes it more better and the understanding of free will shows us why they dont make us do things, rather help an dguide us along the way.

I havnt seen any of today, but in my spiritual journey I know theres help, whether its God, angels, guides, they are there I can sense they are protecting me and helping me, thank you angela and guides and all of love n light who are on my side, by my side working for my side. All my love!

I do believe that every one of us has his guardian angel. Guardian angels protect us from the negativity of others and guard us in making the right decisions. By praying you call your guardian angel to protect you.

I do believe in guardian Angels. There have been things that have happened in my life, which made me believe that I have protection  all around me. That I also believe ultimately comes from God, and I embrace it and am thankful to receive it always.

There are very few people who can actually communicate directly with Guardian spirits. Most of us who believe they exist only get glimpses of their presence, and that typically occurs when your back is against the wall, and you truly seek their guidance. At least that's been my experience.

I was walking one day, in a nature park, and communicated the fact that I wanted to know; I needed to know if I'm here alone, dealing with life's anxieties, or if there is someone by my side, as one of my favorite authors, Wayne Dyer alluded to in one of his books. I literally demanded an answer.

A couple nights later I had a very vivid dream,. It's one of those dreams that appears to be real until you actually wake up. In the dream, there were several spirits around me. I thought I woke up and there were people in my room. My reaction was, "what the F?" I actually said those words, loud, but I was still in the dream. I tried getting up but some force kept me from moving; there was a pressure being applied to my chest as if someone was holding me down; I also could not move my arms, and I could not open my eyes, but I could see.

I could not make out the people/spirits to my immediate right but the one spirit that was directly in front of me wore her hair exactly as my mother wore hers for years. Neither spirit had an actual face, and the spirits slightly behind me, to my right were more like silhouettes.

I forced myself to wake up, my eyes sort of popped open and the pressure I felt, holding me down, was released. I got up, walked downstairs to turn my deck light off. I did this because, a few hours later, when I would actually get up, I would check to see if the light was still off. Well, when I turned the light off, the bulb popped. So I figured, oh well, need a new bulb, and I went back to bed. A few hours later, I woke up, walked downstairs, tried the light again, and it actually came on.

What I got out of this actual dream and concurrence was this: we are always surrounded by multiple spirits. Those spirits mirror what is going on in our lives at that particular time. For example, if you're going through a lustful phase in your life, there will be a spirit surrounding you that is lustful as well.

However, in the midst of those spirits, that may not have good intentions (they can't actually harm you) there will be your Guardian Angel, or Guardian Spirit, that tends to keep the others at bay, while doing all she can to protect you..

That's just my take, and that is what I learned from my experience.
