Sleep Paralysis/Astral Projection
« on: June 09, 2012, 02:24:53 AM »
Hi there :)

About three years ago I went to a psychiatrist and was prescribed with different types of medication, I'm not sure if it was the medication which induced or "triggered" sleep paralysis (which I've never experienced before, until I took the medication) but I kept having SP a few times a week, sometimes even a few times a night. I started becoming afraid to sleep at night cause I wasn't in the mood to fight the feeling (which left me extremely drained). I was afraid to give in to the "sticky" pulling/stuck feeling, my question is - what actually happens when you give in to the feeling and not fight it? I've been meditating a lot lately and doing different kinds of breathing techniques and about two nights ago I was doing a breathing technique in bed and suddenly found myself stuck in SP, I kept telling myself it was okay and nothing could harm me, yet I was too scared to let go and ride the feeling out. I've read SP is semi-related to AP, is this true? and if you gave into SP, would you end up leaving your body? How is it all linked? I want to try give in to the feeling next time but I'm afraid I suddenly leave my body and will be too afraid of AP.

I used to get this almost every night for years and years. What you will have learned through mediatation is to trust your intuition(your heart)..

You may or may not believe this, but the paralysis Always happened to me when a demon or a ghost was about. You see there are many demons that control things here on earth and that roam about(whether they come up for a fleeting visit or not). There are also a whole load of ghosts that are lost souls. They end up back here because of attachment- they can't let go of their idenity and the lives they once lead- hence they haunt homes and people or just wonder around lost.

The ones that spend their time getting up to mischeif learn powers during their stay here- they can learn how to hurt people -(Including abuse and also rape)(I'm sure you've heard stories about spirits and demons throwing things around and possessing people)-(this was even happening in Jesu's time-he performed exorcisms)- and learn the power to Paralyse.

Most demons from hell have the power to paralyse also..

Your heart already gave you your answer- don't ever let the paralysis take over if you feel a malevolant force. At the same time, don't get fearful because they feed on fear- and the paralysis will most likely get stronger- rather than you being able to break free of the spell..

If they paralyse you and you let it take you over, insetad of getting free- (remeber that God sends these negative forces our way so that we increase our faith in Him and call on Him- it is actually a great blessing- it is a test of faith)- They will try their level best to possess you/take over your body and/or attach themselves to you/ feed off your energy. They are also able to drag your soul different places- e.g to Hell.

To free  yourself- call on/remeber God(who is Truth). Understand that whatever malevolent force is attacking you, it's just God in costume- for He is All pervading- this is just His game. Laugh and say, 'God I recognise you in this form of a negative spirit'.. It is a psychology of Truth that sets us free from the illusion of negativity..

Trust me- the spirit won't know what to do! lol.

If you gave in, you'd be doing whatever the negative force around you wanted you to do/go.

If you leave your body, you need to be prepared becasue there really is a whole lot of dark stuff out there. I used to leave my body as a teenager flying and get stopped by huge monsters that grabbed me in the sky..

The only way to become psychologically sound is to see God in All (I've tried so many other methods, but it all just leads back to Him.).

You may get to a stage in meditation when you can't really feel your body/ and or you into a deep meditation, then leave your body without willing it at all- this is fine- but I would suggest that once your out of your body sit down and go into mediatation again(going into a relam within a realm, within a realm). This will discipline you, as many people engage in sinful activities out of the body and this leads to a huge wieght in  negative karma that manifests as depression in real life- it takes you so many steps backwards spritually.

God bless you

I'm not so sure about that. When I experience sleep paralysis, I'm fully awake, I just can't move my body. I never attributed anything spiritual to it, though I am a spiritual person. What you're describing sounds similar to an experience I had when watching a friend be hypnotized. He said he was paralyzed while under hypnosis, he tried to move and couldn't.
