The Atheist Bible

I saw this listed on another site and thought I'd share it here, too. It's really just a bunch of quotes and not a real "bible" so they probably should've called it a 'handbook' or something else.

It's quite funny but I don't see the point in it to be honest. What I like the most about being an atheist - next to tolerance - is unlimited freedom. We don't need to believe, to pray, to participate in rituals, to listen to religious leaders nor to follow their rules. We don't need a bible either.

Claudine, it doesn't actually have any rules or bible-like structure. It's merely a collection of quotes about atheism.

Yes, I know, I've heard about this before, I was just referring to the title and I wanted to share some of my thoughts about atheists and rules :P

I'd love to read this even though it's only a collection of quotes. I enjoy reading quotes and what could be better than reading a few random pages each day to remind myself of my 'religion'? It's a great idea for people to collect atheists quotes and put them into a book for other's reference. I've never seen this book in any bookshop though. Guess I'll have to find it in a library.

Ah, gotcha. It sounded like you were referring to -this- being a set of rules and guidelines, and how that doesn't fit. :)
