What are the strangest questions you've been asked?
« on: July 14, 2012, 03:45:04 PM »
If you engage in discussion with people about theology, and they know you are atheist, you might get asked some very strange questions. Of course, the people asking the questions think they're perfectly all right, but what are the weirdest questions people have asked you?

I'm an agnostic but we get asked many of the same questions. The more unusual (And yet disturbingly common) is I can have any morality, respect or empathy towards fellow human beings. They are not only being egotistical by implying the source of kindness and morality comes from their bible but also making themselves look bad by implying that without their religion, they would be little more than animals. I even got a challenge once to find a single nonbiblical reason to condemn incest (Because apparently my supporting arguments for homosexuality mean I also support incest). I was able to do this easily, withing seconds and provide more reasons, again very easily.
