What do most people struggle with?
« on: January 31, 2012, 03:18:56 AM »
I am interested in learning more of why people won't become Christians and what major questions/doubts they have. I want to know so that if I am confronted with them I can do my best to answer them. Thank you for your help.

I'm born a Muslim and raised as a Muslim as such I will never believe in any other religion other than the one I've been brought up to follow. And I've researched my religion thoroughly and there's some similarities between Islam and Christianity. The only thing I cannot accept about Christianity is the fact that Christians regard Jesus as God. In Islam, it is clearly stated that God doesn't have children and God is nothing like humans.

I am sure that you will not be confronted by any people who do not want to convert to Christianity unless you are trying to MAKE them change their faith.  If somebody has an interest and asks you what your beliefs are and why then you have the right to explain to them how you feel.  If you come door knocking at my place, I will welcome you and perhaps listen to you but I have no desire to change my path.  If you are insistent then you will be welcomed out as well!

Religious people actually struggle with their faith, as I know they have doubts and they cant seem to handle that as they feel that if they embrace their doubts, it would feel like giving up something that they have grown attached to and that something makes them feel secured as well

I have conversations with some people of different religions and beliefs. And as long as we respect each other beliefs and we do not force anyone to convert or compare religions/beliefs, there is no problem or conflict.

Why does their need to be struggle or doubts and questions for someone not to become a Christian? There could be very many reasons why one may choose not to become a Christian and may have little to do with those things you mentioned. It should not matter what you are confronted with because it is not a sales pitch is it?
