I do not believe that all illness is caused by emotions. If by chance you drink a glass of water or eat a bowl of soup that is heavily infected with parasites or infectious bacteria you will become infected with them regardless of your emotions at that time, be they happy, sad, angry or compassionate. Our immune systems, even when very healthy, can only fight off so much at any given point and time. I believe that approximately 60% of illness is caused by emotions and 40% is caused by other factors. The world today is a complex place with many environmental poisons, chemicals, metals, and all types of invaders, and our approaches and concepts need to take this into account. That coupled with international travel and the migration of people has changed factors that affect our health in many ways.

Germ and viruses exist around us and within us all the time, and usually they do us no harm. Our immune system, the body's defenses - like the white blood cells that attack and devour harmful 'invaders' - normally protect us from all infections. But when we are beset with negative emotions like grief, despondency or anxiety, our immune system is weakened. Then the harmful bacteria get a chance to proliferate in our bodies, and we succumb to disease.

Emotions and thoughts play an important role in deciding energy level and confidence of a person. If you are always surrounded by negative thoughts, then it would naturally decrease your positive energy level and  definitely brings a bad impact on your resistance power.

I think emotions are elaborate form of your feeling and thoughts. Negative thoughts definitely cause an unbalance in the emotional setup of a person which cause illness and sometimes mental disorders.

Yes, I believe that the presence of constant negative emotions may eventually lead to certain illnesses. Our thoughts and feelings linked directly to our physical health. The most simple example is in many cases, when someone is worried about something for a long while, they end up with a horrible headache, guilt causes upper body pain like in the shoulder and upper back. These are documented instances to show us we are a whole and when our mental state is not at its best, it is only normal to see the signs of malaise in our bodies.

Life is just like an ocean of energy with waves of feeling and thoughts. Now it's up to us to make control over these waves with a true and happy feelings of positive thoughts. Few techniques like Mind picturing and meditation are really helpful in achieving it.

yup i agree with eniyan4u. not all illnesses are caused by emotions, it's could be caused by bacteria or virus that we get by drinking or eating contaminated food or water, or we could get it by inhaling airborne disease such as flu and tuberculosis, among others. if we are beset by different kinds of emotions especially if your depressed you can have cardiovascular or heart problems, you will also lose weight if you turn your back against food and then you'll catch any time of illness because your immune is weak without proper nutrients supplying it.

I believe that our immune system works best when we are happy and this improves our immunity to depression and tension. If we are suffering from some dangerous disease and we are not having our immune system working properly then the disease will attack with its full strength. We should think positive and try to fight with the diseases collecting our immunity to its full.
