How many of you know about this Buddhist practice popular among Tibetan Buddhists? They consider each human as a union of all universal energy.

actually it is believed that all life should be viewed in an altruistic manner, not just human live.

it is not that they believe that all humans have or come from the same consciousness (soul), rather that in past lives any life form could have been taken, not simply human. and from this perspective compassionate thought should be extended to all living things.
if all you see is 'suffering' then that is all you will feel. look for what is better in yourself and see only that.

The basic concept behind their thinking is related to one source of energy (eternal soul) through which all human beings originated. They don't believe in any individual concept about soul and all the living creations has derived from that eternal source of energy.
