How often do you study your bible?

I don't study as much as I need to. I am sometimes distracted by TV and internet. But I do understand that I must continue to grow as Christian.

I was not raised reading or studying my Bible, so it's been hard for me to get into the habit as an adult. I do have an Orthodox study Bible, though, and I've recently begun using a day planner that doubles as a prayer journal, so I'm trying to develop better spiritual habits.

I seem to have a passion for studying the bible, the words in it and the concepts behind them, so it draws me daily. The ancient languages from which it flows from and ancient concepts are very fascinating, very different from our modern ideas and thinking...

I read my Bible everyday but am ashamed to admit that I am not very good at studying it. After a particularly inspiring sermon I will come home and reread the passage in question and research related links.

I don't actually study the Bible - I tend to just go there and look when something comes up in a discussion or on a forum that interests me, or that I want to verify. I don't consider the Bible to be the word of God. It's a collection of stories - some of them very good, some of them inspirational and some of them not so good. As it's possible to put different interpretations on these stories, I don't see how they can be claimed as the word of God.

There have been so many editions and changes.  Many times the scribes were under extreme pressure to complete by their deadline.  For me it is more of a history book than anything else.

I used to read the Bible everyday.I used to read the Bible every day and I wish to continue as long as my life can reach. The thing is there are chapters and verses that are already glued to mind that I already take as my life’s daily bread to sustain me and guide me through the day. My Bible is just under my pillow but there are times that I pass on reading it and decided to simply pray and recite the verses that if I apply in my life by heart, then I could live harmoniously with people and fear no evil because Jesus speak from wisdom pass on to Him by God and he had lived what he speak that way no evil could tempt Him or make Him deny who He is. But yes, the Bible is the bread of life and though we may not able to fully understand some chapter’s or verses, there are many parts of it where we could reflect upon and there we must find ourselves seeking and learning.

I don't study it as much as I should. I find it hard to read it daily as I would like. I did have a bible app that used to help. However, I try to do at least a verse or two at night.

I don't study it as often as I should, and it is not because I don't want to study the Word of God, truthfully I don't know how to study it. I know people who can study for hours, but that it a discipline that I need God to help me with. I can read the Bible and I do every day, and I can remember verses pretty easy, but to have some type of study method, that is something that I need help in doing. I have listened to people teach about how to study the bible, but I guess I learn differently or something.

Unfortunately, I don't study the bible like I should.  We weren't raised to sit down and read the bible at home.  The only time that I read the bible at home when I was growing up was for a homework assignment.  Unfortunately, that is how I brought up my kids too.  I'm ashamed to admit to that.  It shouldn't be an excuse of why I don't read the bible at home.   I have a strong Christian faith and I should be better at studying and reading the bible at home, but that isn't something that I think about.  It is pretty sad.  My prayer each day is to become a better Christian, but I really lack at reading and studying the bible.

I don't just pick a chapter and read the bible. I have purchased workbooks by Dr. Charles Stanley that focus on what I need to work on as a Christian. That is helping me a lot to really look at where I am lacking. And then I go back to the bible and read verses. It is just solidifies what I am learning.

Bible is a holy book, which raised my inner power and faith on god. I read my bible everyday, which makes my mind relax and provides the peace.

I don't study my Bible as often as I should - almost never to be truthful.  My husband and I have two small children and find it hard to find the time to do so.  We have just started discussing that we would like to do it more often.  We would like to set aside some time every day that would be for reading the Bible and getting our kids involved with it as well,  I am hoping that maybe it will be something that will serve us well in our marriage and as we raise our children - kind of like a guidebook.  Hopefully we will implement this soon!

Well I do not study like i need to. I am gonna make my own favorite verse journal and everything. I have the bible on my tablet, so that it is easier to read and go through, but I have been lazy and that is not good. I will make sure to start studying more like I am suppose to and make sure that I keep a nice journal.
