Bibliomancy

Bibliomancy is the use of books in divination. Most people use sacred books to receive messages, answers to their questions and such, but any book that is believed to hold the truth can also be employed in divining.
If I don't have a specific question in mind, but I want to receive a message from the Spirit to know what I should be focusing on, I usually go to my bookcase, close my eyes and pick the book that my fingers land on. Then I place the book on its spine and let the pages fall open. Without looking, I point to a place on the open pages and read the whole phrase. I have received many interesting insights this way and since our Higher Self is always there to guide us, I try to heed the messages that I receive even though I don't always understand the reasons for them at that immediate moment.

Are there any members here who have tried this divination method? You can share your experiences here.

i did, quite by accident. i was in a second hand bookshop and noticing a book of nostradamus's prophecies casually opened it up. my eyes set upon one quatrain of one century. and i knew in an instant what it meant - an absolute realisation. it was about something which happened/still happening within the last two years.
if all you see is 'suffering' then that is all you will feel. look for what is better in yourself and see only that.

I don't believe that these type of books can help in receiving messages relatedt to spiritual world. A person can feel something but he or she cannot make others realize it or prove it in front of others. How it can be possible, is something that I can't understand.

If you ask me about it, I have never tried it out myself. But there are some friends of mine, who have got quite a posiitve result about it.
