Lucid Dreaming
« on: July 28, 2009, 03:53:01 PM »
I've read a book about lucid dreaming, or dreaming while you realize that's what you're doing and can control the events of the dream. I found it very interesting, but I've rarely been able to do it myself.

Has anyone else here been able to intentionally have lucid dreams... And how do you do it?  ;)

My husband told me that there was a time in his life when he did that because he didn't like the dreams he was having. What happened though is that after a while he either stopped having dreams or at least he couldn't remember them anymore. It took a number of years for him to start dreaming again. Of course, he wasn't following any book or method for doing this. He just did it on his own.

I have actually a friends who told me that she had the ability to predict the future with help of her dreams. Do you think this kind of ability is a gift from God?

I guess, this could be a gift from God. By the way, how do you treasured His gifts to you? For me, everything should be used in good deeds and perhaps sharing it to other is the best.  :)

Well, sharing your gift is a little thing that you could do and God will be happy to you. Do you know than when you do something Good, you're already making Him smile?

I had two lucid dreams after reading how to achieve one.  My first lasted no more then what felt like 30 seconds.  I finally realized I was dreaming and must of got too excited because I woke up! My second I remembered to spin around, it it supposed to distract you from waking. I didn't do anything fancy just hung out with a few celebrities I admire. But these were the only 2 dreams that I ever realized I was dreaming and took control.  Pretty cool and I wish I could do it every dream.

There are quite a few techniques.  You are supposed to keep a dream journal to help you remember dreams.  A lot of information on the web and YouTube about it.  Also, there are binural (sp) beats to help you lucid dream.

I have not tired to keep a dream journal and it was really a nice idea for helping me remember more part of my dreams.

I would love to be able to experience this and is something I have been meaning to look in to for a long time. I am going to take the time to research this, any one have any particularly useful resources?
