Is gospel not your thing?

I think if you're going to practice a religion, you should be able to express your beliefs through whatever means you want (within reason). Going with heavy metal music might seem a little weird for some, but I think it's awesome they've found a form that works for them.

There are many ways to express your beliefs, and the best religions will recognise that and allow people to worship as they wish. Religion should be an integral part of your life, not something alien to your personality that you practice because you feel you should, or because someone tells you it's the 'right' way to worship.

I'm not heavy metal music, but I think this is really cool.

This is quite interesting. I would think that they would have a lot of younger members in their congregation. Which would be a good thing. I can only hope that they all still have good hearing after a series of services.

What next - "The Church Of The Ascended Elevator Music"?

Actually I think it's a great idea. Too many traditionalists are tied into form when their concern should be function.

It's definitely a way for churches to attract more members and make more money. It's all about getting more subscribers, so if they can appeal to a wider array of people, they are going to profit significantly.
