We go to the doctors when we are not feeling well. It is the most practical and most common practice to cure our illnesses. Are there any other remedies for our sickness, aside from going to the doctor? What are alternative therapies?

Yes, Reiki can be either performed by laying the hands on the patient or from the distance. Energy knows no distance; thus, it is effective regardless of the location of the person who is receiving the healing - as it is mentioned earlier, the only requirement is to believe.
A REIKI master make use of his/her concentration power either on affected part or persons. The best thing with this art that a person can treat diseased parts or ailments either by touching or from a far distance. The basic concept behind it to concentrate energy on the affected part of body.

I don't think that any of the members have discussed about acupuncture and acupressure techniques. I have read somewhere that these are also alternative therapies for curing some of the patients that are suffering from various pains.
