Does Anyone Have Experience With EFT?

EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Technique and it is said to be able to heal a lot of phobia's, anxieties, fears, addictions, release negative emotions and to empower. The process involves tapping the meridian points on the body while saying certain things out loud. You are meant to keep repeating the process with each fear or addiction until it reaches zero on your emotional scale.

I have read many accounts of people who have used this technique and found it very helpful with whatever they wanted to overcome. I think that it is worth trying if you really have something that is holding you back in your life. Alternative healing therapies can be very effective and EFT is another one people could try for themselves and see how it works for them.

Has anyone had any experience with this and if so what is your opinion of it? I would mainly be using this to try to help me get over my Social Phobia as this is something that is ruling my life and not letting me have a life outside the home.

I don't have any experience with it, but I have heard people say that experienced great results with it. There are videos on youtube explaining the technique. There an EFT monthly group starting at my church. I am definitely going to check it out. I would rather experience it first hand.

It's a Westernized combination of acupressure, massage (tapotement) and the Five Healing Sounds. From the description given here it's VERY far from Traditional Chinese Medicine principles - in fact, it glosses over some major ones and totally screws up several others - but if it works for you then all well and good.

I have used EFT.  The very first time that I used it I was amazed!  I used it to reduce my anger.  I did not believe at first that it would help with anything but I tried it and it worked!  As I was doing the last repetition, I felt the anger literally slide away from my body from the right side to the left.  I felt so much better that I still use it today for different strong emotions that I would rather live without.
