Reiki
« on: September 01, 2009, 11:42:11 PM »
Reiki is a Japanese technique for relaxation that can be equally used for healing. You can practice by laying on hands or through distance. You need not be religious in order to learn and practice reiki. It is a simple, natural, spiritual healing. You may practice Reiki on your own self - it provides relaxation, well-being and feelings of peace. Has any of you received or provided Reiki healing? I have received it in the past and it has made a big difference in my life for me. It is hard to explain the sensation that one gets during the Reiki session as the healing energy travels through the whole body and soul. I would definitely recommend it to those who are in search of a natural healing for any type of malaise.

My personal experience says that Reiki makes you reclusive. All the reiki pratitioners that I have come into contact starting from my initiation till now, were somewhat reclusive in nature. I myself was an outgoing person before i took the initiation.
Reiki started a process of attitudinal and perception changes which till date i have not been able to fully comprehend.

Faith is the ultimate key for getting a proper success in Reiki. The basic origin of this healing therapy is Japan, where Meditation and Buddhism is more popular. One can even get help of Meditation to achieve a proper concentration for this therapy.

Yeah, that's true but you can't ignore that we can do it in a better way through practice. This will eliminate the errors slowly and gradually and we can perform better under an expert's advice. Look for an expert and get the training.

The best thing with Reiki is that there is no need of a direct interaction between a Reiki master and hi patients as he can easily heal them by concentrating his positive energy on their ailments.

I am not saying that you have to be in direct contact with the Reiki master but somehow you should take guidance from him to perform the activities in a better way.

For me, REIKI is a form of compassionate communication to achieve a point to develop certain quality of attention and relaxation. But its equally important to follow its five basic principles for a true success.

I had started practicing Reiki several months ago but abandoned it. I do plan to go back to it however. The five basic principles of Reiki are good to keep in mind, thanks for posting! :)
