I do agree that there are people designed by God to be healers like the Doctors. They are blessed with ability, courage and knowledge on how to help sick person and cure them. They should have bought their children in the hospital.

I believe that prayer should be part of the healing process but it should not be used as the only method for healing. Look at it this way. The Ultimate (God, goddess, etc...whatever your belief looks at the ultimate life force as) gave doctors the tools, knowledge, and abilities to help their fellow man. Even though the medicine they give is technological and the medicines have chemicals they are still derived from what the Universe and what God has bestowed on them to use. God is still a part of it and prayer helps but utilize the knowledge that God gave to these people as well.

God opens several doors for us in times of need. It is our own view of the people and world around us that closes those doors. If the doctor can help then thank God for that in the next prayer, pray that the treatment they have will help, and allow medicine to do what it can.

No, not in the way that it was used by the parents of these children.  I do believe that you should have faith in your doctor, so finding one with the same beliefs as you is your best bet.

I would have to agree with that. I think finding a doctor that, at the very least, understands your beliefs is the best bet. That leads to more understanding and in some cases avoids issues of the doctor performing a procedure your religion strictly is against. I think a solid mix of prayer and trusting your doctors knowledge is the best option. I do not think that faith should prevent one from going to the doctor. Not at all.
