Chasing Rainbows
« on: November 29, 2011, 09:11:00 PM »
Chasing Rainbows

Their illuminated stance is cast before us,
tempting us to follow the winds of fate
as far as they may flow
and carry us,
upon our journey of chasing rainbow's end.

Perhaps we are guided by the songs of others
who have traversed this way, before us,
adding their inspiration to our own
as chimes that dance in the cathedral halls—
that hold the records of all time.

Such a place carries the wave-notes of every soul
who has dared to dream and take their chances,
on this road of rainbow light—
that inspired them to sing their songs
of heart and soul.

These songs have laid within them
waiting for their call,
their time,
to be brought forward
and take flight into the ethers,
where they meet the luminescent bow
of oranges, pinks, and purples.

Their inspiration and tide of colors
wash into the heart
of the collective muse,
that thus inspires us
to follow the pathway
of chasing rainbows,
of our own.

I love rainbows. You wouldn't see them every day mostly only after the rain thus the saying "A rainbow comes after a storm". Sometimes I would see them in mid-air or water reflection. It's like God is talking to us in figure of speech with the wonders that we see in the world. A priest once told us that rainbows have wheels because you will see them reaching the sky but its feet running on the earth no matter how far you are in its place. The rainbow is chasing you to make you see the beautiful colors of life. I also would like to share something about rainbows. This is from the lyrics of the song of a local band in our country.

Take a little time baby
See the butterflies' colors
Listen to the birds that were sent
To sing for me and you
Can you feel me
This is such a wonderful place to be
Even if there is pain now
Everything would be all right
For as long as the world still turns
There will be night and day
Can you hear me
There's a rainbow always after the rain
