you must have heard the thought that" GOD help those who help themselves". So GOD takes exam of every person in this situation.

This is a good question, in fact something I have questioned myself through life since because since I remember, God seems to ignore my crying.

Does God listen those who help themselves? That's another good question, because I have done nothing but help myself to cope with suffering, if I wouldn't do it, no one would do it, not even God

Even though, sometimes God has listening to my prayers, usually when it comes to little things, but it seems he is deaf in the truly meaningful, and I don't mean vain pleas.

Why is this happening? Is about my faith being broken or is that I don't know how to use it?

Sometimes HE keeps silent for the simple fact that HE wants to see if you will trust him even though you think that HE isn't there. Even though you may truly believe that he has left you, HE still wants to see and know that you have Faith in him because Faith is believing even though you can't see how, when, or why you are going through it, you just believe with everything in you that HE will bring you out.

A warm hello to everyone. I just came across this forum while doing some searches and was impressed by the members, subject matters and excellent posts. I was particularly motivated by this thread and the exceedingly interesting views shared by members on the subject that I decided to join and contribute on my own small way.

 In my view, prayer does not move the divine heart to liberality of bestowal, but it does so often dig out larger and deeper channels wherein the divine bestowals may flow to the hearts and souls of those who thus remember to maintain unbroken communion with their Maker through sincere prayer and true worship. I believe that prayer is an expression of the finite mind in an effort to approach the Infinite.

I feel that the uncertainties of life and the vicissitudes of existence do not in any manner contradict the concept of the sovereignty and existence of God, even when prayers and the experience of pain seems to be unheard. All evolutionary creature life is beset by certain inevitabilities.

Consider the following:-

1. Is courage (strength of character) desirable?. Then must man be reared in an environment which necessitates grappling with hardships and reacting to disappointments.

2. Is altruism (service of one's fellows) desirable?. Then musts life experience provide for encountering situations of social inequality.

3. Is hope (the grandeur of trust) desirable. Then human existence must constantly be confronted with insecurities and recurrent uncertainties.

4. Is faith (the supreme assertion of human thought) desirable?. Then must the mind of man find itself in the troublesome predicament where it ever knows less than it can believe.

5. Is the love of truth and the willingness to go wherever it leads, desirable?. Then must man grow up in a world where error is present and falsehood always possible.

6. Is idealism (the approaching concept of the divine) desirable?. Then must man struggle in an environment of relative goodness and beauty, surroundings stimulative of the irrepressible reach for better things.

7. Is loyalty (devotion to highest duty) desirable?. Then must man carry on amid the possibilities of betrayal and desertion. The valor of devotion to duty consists in the implied danger of default.

8. Is unselfishness (the spirit of self-forgetfulness) desirable? Then must mortal man live face to face with the incessant clamoring of an inescapable self for recognition and honor. Man could not dynamically choose the divine life if there were no self-life to forsake. Man could never lay saving hold on righteousness if there were no potential evil to exalt and differentiate the good by contrast.

9. Is pleasure (the satisfaction of happiness) desirable?. Then must man live in a world where the alternative of pain and the likelihood of suffering are ever-present experiential possibilities.

Some very valid points above.

 In addition from a personal aspect, so many times I've looked back and seen that He had provided a way for my problem to be solved and I had not seen it as I was too busy looking the other way or expecting my problems solution to be presented to me on a plate.

Your post reminds me of a joke I've read about a man who didn't see that God sent him help in many ways even the most obvious ways. Here's the joke and ponder :

In a town, rain had been pouring for so long that the whole town became flooded. A devout man prayed to God to help him escape the flood and while he was praying he heard a knock on the door and when he opened the door, a man said,"Come with me and I will help you escape this flood." Instead of going with the helpful man, the devout man refused and said,"No thank you, I'm praying to God and He will help me." And he closed the door.

The flood was getting higher and he had to go to the second floor of his house. He kept praying to God for help. And then a knock was heard on his window, He went to the window and saw a group of people in a boat. They offered to help him get out of the flood and asked him to join them in the boat. Again he refused and he said,"I'm praying to God and He will help me."

The flood was getting even higher and he had to go to the roof of his house. Before long, a helicopter hovered over his house and the people inside the helicopter offered to help him out of the flood but again he refused and said,"I'm praying to God and He will help me."

Eventually, he drowned in the flood and he went to Heaven and he managed to ask God,"I asked for your help. I prayed to you. Why didn't you help me and let me drown?" Then God answered,"I sent you a man, a boat and a helicopter, why didn't YOU accept the help I've sent."

I always believe that God always listens to our prayers and don't think that He won't grant our prayers. Perhaps we don't realize it but He does.
