Painful Feeling?
« on: November 01, 2009, 12:00:12 PM »
Have you ever experience any painful feeling or sensation during your Meditation period? Sometime, I feel a burning sensation generated and spreading through my body. What about you?

Oh, do you know what that means?
I just hope everything is happening for your good.
With me its normally a feeling of elevation.
My mind freshens and body feels lighter.

gee, that's scary. i don't want to feel that way. meditating supposed to relax our mind and body, and not having to feel any burning or painful sensation. you might need to contact an expert on why that happens to you. i've never experienced that too.

I don't believe it. Meditation provides a soothing effect on mind and body and nothing like pain or burning sensation. If such thing is happening with you then you should immediately consult with a trainer and sort it out.

I think its similar to forced inner physical sensation which one can feel in innermost depth of his body.

But I think that it is because of some improper method used due to lack of proper training and correct posture. It is for the same reason that I am advicing for a trainer.

I have to be agree with you. Some people really find it difficult to attain a proper concentration during their Meditation period. A good Meditation master can really be helpful in such painful experience.

Yeah, this will help a lot and will surely result in some good experience of meditation. The correcting of posture removes many problems related to meditation.

Its just a sign of spiritual changes which we can encounter in the path of our spiritual development. At early stages of my Meditation period,
I sometimes started feeling strange and became overwhelmed.

All i know about meditation is that it could help you feel better and refreshed. It also could relieve stress. Maybe you are not convenient in your position while meditating or it has something to do with the posture.
