Lammas/Lughnasadh - August 1
« on: July 29, 2012, 04:21:24 AM »
The first of the grain harvest festivals will be coming up in a few days, for those of you who follow the Wheel of the Year. Besides the early grains, people will start gathering apples, grapes, onions, etc.

Very positive energies of abundance and luck are associated with this day.

A bread roll
Glass of red wine

Tear a small hole in the bread to make a space to place an item. Save the piece you pulled out, you'll need it later.

The item that goes into the bread depends on what you want to achieve.

Rosemary - fidelity/faithfulness
2 Bay leaves - commitment
Pinch of dried thyme - attract a lover

A pinch of dried lavender

Dried sage

A gold colored coin

A pinch of dried mint

Take the piece of bread you saved, dip it in the honey and eat it. Take a sip of the wine.

Sweeten my life abundantly
Health, Wealth and Happiness bring to me
Grant now my wishes
So mote it be!

Take the roll with the item you've placed in it and bury it outside in the dirt. Make sure it's completely buried and that you keep your intentions/will focused throughout. Within a year your desires should be achieved.
