If you knew you were to die tomorrow, what would you do?

What preparations would you make, who would you say goodbye to? Would you spend the whole day in prayer, or would you spend it living your life to the fullest? Is there anything else you would want to do or say to the world before you die? Share your ideas.

I have never considered this idea, but now that you mention I can see this is why we ignore the day when we will die; we would spend our remaining time trying to find how to get the most of our last hours on earth.

Even though, if I would knew it, I would probably be visiting the most meaningful sites out there I visited once, recalling the days of happiness. I would not say goodbye to anyone, and much less to my beloved ones, because that would be adding extra suffering to their souls.

I would not pray because I don't believe everything is over when we pass away, but in life beyond dead, so I would probably experience contradictory feelings; sadness for living this material world, but happiness to finally discover if such life exists and the chance to meet with the persons I love that have already passed away.

Your response was thought provoking and insightful. Thank you. I personally would do a mixture of both. I would spend time with my family, share laughter, and have them remember me as someone who was happy. That I did not spend my last die as a dying candle but a vibrant flash of light. I would spend some moments in prayer and allow myself to think of what is ahead. This being said, I would savor my last day; every single drop.

I think it is hard for anyone to know he will going to die the next day (except if you will commit suicide or your under a death penalty). Even doctors would just say approximation of a life span for so ill patients but not the exact date.
But just to answer the question, i think i would pray that God would forgive me and accept me on His Kingdom. Also will ask for strength or courage to face earth tomorrow. I would spend the time with family and friends. Will definitely choose to be happy on that last day so that you will be remembered as it is.

I'd spend a third of that day in contemplation and prayer--probably on a hill just appreciating the beauty of the world and being grateful for everything God has allowed me to enjoy.  The rest of the day, I'd spend thanking everyone for gracing my life and asking for their forgiveness if I have caused them pain.  I'd tell my loved ones not to mourn too much, for I'd be coming home where I'd be infinitely safe and happy, and yet I'd be with them whenever they think of me. :)

Oh wow!  If I knew I was going to die tomorrow I would spend the whole day doing what ever my children wanted to do.  I would write them each a letter, and take a million pictures.  I would tell my husband how much I love him, and that he was right about everything he ever said about me.  I would apologize for every argument we ever had.  I'd call my siblings and insist we have dinner and take a million pictures there.  I would right them all letters as well. I would spend the day happy and grateful for the life that I had while I had it.

Some lovely responses here, particularly writing a letter - I hadnt thought of this amongst the initial thoughts of time with family, friends and loved ones.
